Rewind — daily trivia across the decades, for the whole family

Five questions a day, one from each era from the 1960s to today — so every generation gets one.

What it is

Rewind is Streakhouse’s daily trivia game. Each day brings five multiple-choice questions, one from each era: the 1960s–70s, the 1980s, the 1990s, the 2000s and the 2010s–20s, played oldest first. Topics rotate through music, film and TV, world events, sports, and tech and toys. Every question is written for Streakhouse.

How to play

  1. Read the question and tap one of the four answers.
  2. You find out straight away, with a one-line fact about the answer.
  3. Move on to the next decade. There is no timer, ever.

How scoring works

Twenty points for each correct answer, up to 100. Speed never counts — not for the score and not for anything else that matters.

A worked example

An invented example, not a real day’s question.

A 1960s–70s question might read: “Which 1970s fad came in a cardboard box with breathing holes and its own care manual?” — with the options Pet Rock, Mood ring, Lava lamp and Slinky. The answer is the Pet Rock, a 1975 craze. Get four of the day’s five right and you score 80.

Why it works across generations

Rewind is the game built most deliberately for mixed ages. Every era gets exactly one question, so grandparents tend to own the 60s and 70s, parents the 80s and 90s, and the kids the most recent decade — and everyone gets to be the expert once a day. With no clock, nobody is penalised for reading slowly or thinking it over.

How it feeds the family streak

Rewind is one of the five scored games in a Streakhouse day, so playing it counts you as having played toward your circle’s shared streak. Everyone answers the same five questions, the leaderboard compares scores rather than answers, and the share card is a single row of ticks and crosses with decade labels — never the questions.
